Community QI Reports
Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is Adaptive Technology that is covered by insurance. The process for obtaining DME takes time and requires good communication and a collaborative spirit. That is why we created AT Village, to make it simpler and easier for all of us to work together. DME community reports are a way for us to monitor our ability to provide timely delivery of DME to kids in our community. Each quarter we will post de-identified information on time-to-delivery of our DME orders here in Central New York. Quality assurance and satisfaction are shared goals for all of us.
On this page you will find graphs that track how we are doing with timely delivery of DME in our community. Time (in days) is on the y-axis. For each equipment category listed below, the graphs on the left-hand side of the page measure the timespan from the date equipment is recommended by a medical provider to the date of evaluation by PT/ATP. Our goal for this timeframe is 14 days (team goal 1). The graphs on the right track the timespan from equipment evaluation to delivery (transaction cycle time). Our goal for this timeframe is 80 days (team goal 2). The red line indicates the median whereas the green line shows our target goal.
