Home Equipment
Where to begin:
Step 1: School-based therapists cannot write letters of medical necessity for equipment that is used only in the home. Instead, ask your medical provider for a PT referral to Nascentia (Home Health Care) or to outpatient therapy services.
Step 2: Identify a DME vendor to work with. We suggest that you check with your insurance company about your DME coverage to make sure you are working with a vendor who is a network provider.
Step 3: What are you looking for? Here are examples of home equipment that may be covered by insurance.
